ot 279 350, 279 352, 279 355 and 279 356 shall be met
No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a check

or in lieu thereol, a surely bond for an amount equal to ten
percent (107) ot the aggregate proposal The successful bidder
shall furnish a bond satisfacotry to the Board in the full amount
ot the contract

and other bid documents may be inspected and obtained at the
otfice ol the City ot Salem Department ot Public Works 555
Liberty Street S E Room 325 Saiem, Oregon The bidder shall
not lile the book ot Standard Construction Specifications with
his bid
Bids shall be made on the forms furnished by the City,
addressed, and mailed or delivered to the City Recorder, City
Hall, Room 205, Salem, Oregon 97301. in a sealed envelope
plainly marked BID ON THE KAE LEN GARDENS WATER
MAIN and the name and address ot the bidder
A surety bond, cashier s check or certified check of the bidder,
made payable to the City ot Salem in the amount ol ten percent
(10%) ol the bid must accompany each bid as security Bid
security ot all save the three lowest bidders will be returned
following the bid opening, all bid security will be refunded upon
execution ot the contract by the successful bidder
No bid will be received or considered by the City ol Salem unless
the bid contains a statement by the bidder the provisions ot ORS
279 350 shall be included in his contract
Contractor's Prequalilication Applications must be submitted to
the City Purchasing Supervisor (1340 20th Street S E Salem OR
97302) lor approval, on or before July 9 1985 which is at least
live working days prior lo the scheduled bid opening dale Upon
approval the bidder will receive a valid proposal tor bidding
purposes
No bid shall be received or considered Irom any bidder who does
not have an approved prequalilication application on tile with
the City Purchasing Supervisor
