Regis D uffy, O .F .M ., an intema-
tionaly known religious scholar will
visit Portland to lecture during a two-
day conference on contemporary
Christianity, M ay 10 and I I .
The conference is c o sponsored by
The Grotto and the Paulist Father's
Catholic Center for Evangelization. It
will begin Friday evening at 7:30 p.m.
at The Grotto, N E 85th and Sandy
Blvd. Father Regis will address the
topic, “ Eucharist: a Question o f
Presence,” during the Friday session.
On Saturday, the conference will be
at the Paulist Center, S.E. 16th and
Division. It will begin at 10 a.m . and
conclude at 3 p.m. Father D u ffy will
give a series o f four talks designed to
cover the topic: “ The Way Christians
W alk Together: Initiation and the
R IC A .”
Currently a professor at the Wash­
ington Theological Union, Father
Duffy has been a visiting professor at
Princeton and Notre Dame. He con­
