What should become the most recognizable marketing symbol in
Oregon was unveiled last week by the Oregon Lottery.
The Oregon Lottery logo will be the internationally recognized good
luck symbol, which is a single hand held up with two crossed fingers
The trademark will be used on outdoor boards, transit advertising,
point of purchase signage, and all broadcast and print media.
"The Oregon lottery marketing symbol reflects the spirit of fun
which will characterize all lottery marketing materials and activities."
said Sue Burton, director of marketing. "It also clearly establishes that
lottery games are a matter of chance and luck, and not skill."
The lottery symbol was developed by Pihas. Schmidt, Westerdahl
Company, advertising agency for the lottery commission.
