Youthsound heads for Japan
A Jazz Concert featuring Thara M em ory and the Youthaound Stage

Poets to welcome spring
Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center will feature "The Rights of Spring,
a poetic/dram atic presentation featuring Lois M arie Lewis. Linda Hunt

Teen dance to benefit clinic
Mothudi/Shenard Cline will be having a Spring Dance" (soft bottom
shoes, please) on Friday. March 22. 1986. The happenings will convene at
1829 N E. Alberta Rtneea Center Building Starting at 8 p.m and Jamming
until midnight. All students ranging from 13 to 18 are invited to attend The
admission is free and there will be a live DJ spinning the latest sounds
The clinic will provide counseling services from a cultural perspective
w ith specific emphasis on Black and other Geo-Cultural groups (ado

Herero Danzers concert
On Sunday. March 17 at 4:00 p.m .. Herero Designs, a performing arts
company, will sponsor, in conjunction w ith the IFCC, a benefit event
to raise funds for the spring concert of the Herero Danzers/Afrikan
American Dance Theatre.
The March 17 event will feature a variety of elements, including a
dance performance by Herero Danzers previewing their spring concert,
a performance by students of the IFCC's dance program, a fashion
show of styles from Bobby Fouther's private line, and an art exhibit of
posters, prints and paintings from the private collection of Herero De
signs All of this will be followed by a reception for artists and audience
Tickets are 110 (tax deductible) and all proceeds go towards the He
rero Danzers spring concert, which is also partially funded by the
Metropolitan Arts Commission. Herero Danzers Afrikan-Am erican

Eddie Murphy, the hottest comedian on the stage end screen today,
will be playing Seattle. Washington, for one show only on Sunday.

When tickets go on sale in April for Eddie Murphy in Seattle, it will
be difficult for fans outside the Puget Sound area to buy seats Port
land. Oregon, and Spokane. Washington, area audiences will have
the opportunity to buy their tickets before anyone else for a limited
time starting M arch 9.
By special arrangement, a limited number of W eekend Show
Packages" that include tw o top priced tickets to see Eddie Murphy
and a night's stay at the luxurious Seattle Sheraton Hotel are being
offered exclusively to Spokane. Washington end Portland, Oregon area
audiences starting Saturday. March 9 through Ticketm aster in Seattle,
