A perfo rm ance of m ualc, dance and dram a Is slated for Tubm an's
Annual Solstice Program. Featured w ill be a m ixture of festive music
fro m Europe and A m e ric a , jazz and tap dance p e rfo rm a n c e s , and a
dram atic production — all perform ed by students enrolled In Tubm an
M iddle School's Perform ing Arts program.

Black History programming
A group of video producers from the Black co m m u n ity have Joined
together to produce a special series of program m ing for Black History
M o n th . W e w ould Ilka to involve the young people o f the com m unity
in this project. W e would like young people up to age 19 to help by pre
senting p erfo rm an ces th a t last b e tw e e n one and fiv e m inutes. The
presentation can be a reading, poetry, a skit, or even soma original
artw o rk w hich relates to soma aspect of Black history. The presenta
tions w ill be videotaped at the studio of Portland Cable Access. 5807
