Obo Addy returns for concert
Obo Addy and Kukrudu will perform a concert-dance at the Pine St.
Theater on Saturday. January 12.1986 at 8:30 p.m. All ages welcom e.

form ed for dancing in Portland since they returned from their national
tour In October. Since that time, they have been performing In Seattle
and Vancouver. B.C.
The 7-piece group plays a highly infectious type of modern African
music. Obo Addy w rites tha music w hich incorporates his traditional
rhythm s o f G hana. W est A fric a , w ith w estern in s tru m e n ta tio n and
sounds. The evening promises to ba an idea w a y to dance a w a y the
winter blues.

group displayed outstanding vocal capabilities end vocal exchange*.

singer and lyric w riter, ha* been prom oting and entertaining through
out tha Portland area for tha past six years. As owner of Batter Enter­
tainm ent A ttractio n * N etw ork (B E A N ). Bean ha* bean involved in
tha coordination and promotion of many of Portland's fashion show*,
modeling in Bridal Fair* and other show *. Bean ha* collected many
c red it* in that field Bean began playing tha saxophone 18 year* ago
and eventually began singing, and for tha past eight years ha* bean
recognized as a very dynamic vocalist.
Ronee Walker, actress, singer, dancer and model, ha* been visible to
the Portland audience for m any years. Her m odeling c re d it* include
M e ie r Et Frank. P e n d le to n W o o le n M ill* and P rin t W o rk fo r Fred
M e y e r*. She has also m odeled for the Rose C ity C on n ectio n , B. J.
Thompson end other* Ronee began her singing career in 1984. making
her debut at tha "Throw dow n 84" held at tha Starry night.
Richard Greer, actor, modal singer and lyric and poetry w riter, ha*
been singing and writing for tha past 10 year*. Ha studies music in col­
lege to help advance hi* career. Richard has modeled w ith Retro Spact
P ro du ctio n* and h a* bean involved w ith other p ro d u c tio n * a * w all.
Richard is currently w riting music for tha Straw berry Gamblers, a fa
i-qala vocal group.
Denise W illia m *, actress, m odal, singer and dancer, h a * bean in-
olvad in entertainm ent for tha past five year*. Denise ha* modeled for
AZava* fashion s h o w *. Rosa City C onnection, penniless A ris to c ra t*
in d o th e r*. She began singing in th a choir of G reater M t. C alvary
C O G I.C. and now ha* branched out to other area*. Denise will also
ba co m p etin g in tha M is * W illa m e tte V alley Pageant in w h ich the

photographer best known for his monumental 20-volume study, The N orth
American Indian, are on view January 8 thru March 3 in the First Floor C orri­
dor Callery. The photographs, dating from I898 to 1905, are some o f Curtis’
earliest images on the Indian theme, l.ent from the collection o f Betty Cochran,
the prints are thought to have been made by her aunt, Addie Christine Libby,
who apprenticed with Curtis in Seattle.
