Dr. James has followed her growing interest in community service since leaving the university. Currently, she gives lectures, writes a weekly column for the Seattle Timee and is a commentator on KIRO, a Seattle rad» and T .V . station. She also founded the Committee for Children, a child advocacy group and is Direc­ tor of the Seattle Community Service Committee, which helps individuate contribute to their community.
