hailed as a m iracle o f m odern times.
Yet the p ric e we p ay fo r the use o f
these substances is only now com ing
to public attentio n.

may be weakening the ability o f our
im m u n e system s to resp on d w hen
needed. A risk that may already be
s ho w ing its e lf in the g ro w in g n u m ­

including A ID S and Systemic Lupus
