May 2, 19B4, at which time said bids will be publicly opened and reed in the
City Council Chambers, Room 240, City Hall, for the project specified
herein.
Prime contractors interested in bidding on thia project may receive one
copy of the specifications and other bid documents at the office of the Pur­
chasing Supervisor, 1340 20th St. S.E., Salem, OR 97302. The proposed
work consists of the application of liquid masonry sealant to the exterior
brick surfaces of Pringle Creek Tower and the Salem Housing Authority of­
fice.
Bids must be submitted on the propoeal forma furnished to prequalified
bidders. Proposals shad be submitted in a seeled envelope plainly marked
"BID ON EXTERIOR SEALING OF PRINGLE CREEK TOWER" and show
the name and business address of the bidder.
A surety bond, cashier's check, or certified check of the todder in the
amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid must be attached to each proposal
as bid security. Unsuccessful bidders will have their security refunded to
them when the contract has been awarded

All of the projects are either categorically excluded from environmental
assessments or have been previously reviewed in the Final Environmental
Impact Statement for the Banfield Light Rail Transitway Project.
These projects are in conformance with comprehensive land use and tran-
portation planning in the area. They will be programmed in the Transpor­
tation Improvement Program and are currently undergoing intergover­
nmental review by the State clearinghouse.
Those projects which have potential to impact the special needs of the
elderly and handicapped will be designed to promote accessibility through
widened sidewalk, wheelchair ramps and specially designated perking
spaces for the elderly and handicapped.

A statement of Tri-Met's proposed charter bus service is available for in­
spection at the Tri Met Administration offices.
Tri-Met will not be engaging in school bus operations. There will be no
direct impact on private transportation enterprise by theee projects.
At the hearing, Tri-Met will afford an opportunity for interested persons to
be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environmental aspects
of the protects Interested persons may submit, orally or in writing, eviden­
ce and recommendations with respect to the projects.
