The CITY OF ST. HELENS invites bids for the following:
1983 STREET OVERLAYING
Tack coat and overlaying of portions of nine streets, including West
Street, North 8th Street, and South Vernonia Road, in the City of St.
Helens and 1 H " (compacted depth) of asphalt concrete.
Ths project involves approximately 2,200 tons of asphalt concrete and
other such items as necessary to complete the project.
Detailed specifications are available from the City Administrator. Bids must
be sealed and submitted in writing to contracting officer by the time of the
public opening which is 9:00 a m .. May 18, 1983. Prequalification requests
are not desired or necessary but must be received by 9:00 s.m .. May 16,
1983, if submitted. The CITY OF ST. HELENS intends to award contract to
low bidder who complies with bid requirements and specifications. A bid
bond and a performance bond will be required. A City business license is
also required for doing business in the City. The CITY OF ST. HELENS is an

will be required to furnish a bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of
the amount of bid for the faithful performance of the contract.
No bid will be received or considered unless the bid contains a statement by
the bidder as a part of his bid that the provisions of ORS 279 360 and ORS
279.364 will be complied with.
Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the provisions of
Federal Executive Order 11246 The requirements for Bidders and Contrac­

The City of Beaverton reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to
accept any proposal which appears to serve the best interest of the City.
