Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Recorder, Room 206,
City Hall, Salem, Oregon until but not after 11:00 a.m ., Local Time on
April 27, 1983, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud
at the Council Chambers, Civic Center, S66 Liberty Street S.E., Salem, Ore­
gon for the REHABILITATION OF AN 8* SANITARY SEWER TO SERVE
N O R W A Y STREET TO GROVE STREET, B R O A D W A Y STREET TO
WILLAMETTE RIVER AREA.
The proposed work consists of: chemically sealing 1.776 lineal feet of 8-inch
concrete sewer, one manhole and appurtenances.
Plans, specifications and other bid documents may be inspected and ob­
tained at the office of the City of Salem, Department of Public Works, 666
Liberty Street S.E., Salem, Oregon. The bidder shall not filo the book of
"Standard Construction Specifications" with his bids.
Bids shall be made on the forms furnished by the City, addressed, and
mailed or delivered to the City Recorder, Room 205, Salem, Oregon in a
sealed envelope plainly marked "BID ON NORW AY STREET TO GROVE
STREET. BROADWAY STREET TO WILLAMETTE RIVER AREA SEWER
REHABILITATION PROJECT,” and the name and address of the bidder.

A surety bond, cashier s check or certified check of the bidder, made pays

accompany each bid as security. Bid security of all. save the three lowest
bidders, will be returned following the bid opening; all bid security will be
refunded upon execution of the contract by the successful bidder
No bid will be received or considered by the City of Salem, unless the bid
contains a statement by the bidder that the provisions of ORS 279.360 shall
be included in his contract.
The City of Salem reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to postpone
award of the contract for 30 days from the date of bid opening.
No bid shall be received from any bidder who has not filed a prequalification
statement with the City Purchasing Supervisor at 1340 20th Street S.E
