The In te rn atio n al W om en'» Day Festival, sponsored by the Portland
Y W C A , is both a celebration for our community and a challenge to create a
world which truly acknowledges the value o f women.
Over 330 women will perform and create during the day-long Festival; we
expect 5,000 Portlanders to attend. The SI admission requested offsets the
costs of the day, and supports the ongoing work o f the Y W C A ’s Women's
Resource Center, Oregon's largest crisis and referral center for women. The
Center provides counseling, advocacy and emergency services for more than
13.000 women annually.
