Nissan has taken a new direction
in small car technology with the in­
troduction of the 1983 Nissan Pul­
sar N X — the efficiency and function
of front-w heel-drive, but with a
sporty flavor.

sident, sales of Nissan U.S. A.
“ Performance, economy, driva-
bility, roominess and looks are all
equally valid concerns and the all-
new five-passenger Nissan Pulsar
NX was built to deliver them all.”
The most striking feature of the
Nissan Pulsar NX is its aerodynamic
wedge-shaped styling, with a long

sloping hood, concealed pop-up
headlights and short rear deck with
built-in spoiler.
Two transmissions are available,
a five-speed manual overdrive and
an optional three-speed automatic
with lock-up torque converter for
increased efficiency.
The new car’s standard features
include rack-and-pinion power
steering, front disc brakes and a de­
luxe trim with sunroof,4-speaker
A M /F M /M P X stereo radio and full
wheel covers.
