Sealed proposals for the Portland Ship Repair Yard, 11 KV (15 KV Class)
Cable Removal and Installation, will be received by the Purchasing Manager
of the Port of Portland, 700 N.E. Multnomah Street (mailing address: P O .
Box 3529, Portland, OR 97208) until 2 pm, October 20, 1982, and thereafter
publicly opened and read.
MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (MBE) INCENTIVE PROGRAM: Bid
ders w ho employ subcontractors that have been certified by the Port of
Portland as an MBE and arrange for them to perform work or supply mater
ials that represent not less than 10 per cent of the total dollar amount bid
will be given a 2 per cent bidding advantage over bidders not making such
arrangements.
Scope:
Remove approximately 1,250 feet of 15 KV cable from existing
underground duct systems; clean ducts; install approximately
1,100 feet of Port-furnished 15 KV cable; and terminate ends.
Contract documents are available at the above Port offices.
All proposals must be on the regular blank forms provided to prospective
bidders.
All proposals must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check drawn
on an Oregon bank or bid bond payable to The Port o f Portland in an
amount equal to at least 10 per cent of the total amount bid.
Prequalificatin w ill not be required for this bidding. Bidders w ho are in
doubt as to their qualifications are encouraged to contact the Purchasing
Manager informally to determine their qualification status.
Sealed proposals will be received in Room 412, City Hall. Portland, Oregon
97204 for items detailed herein until 2:00 P.M. on the dates indicated.

When Bid Surety is required, proposals shall be accompanied by a certified
