When Bid Surety is required, proposals shall be accompanied by a certified
check, cashier’s check or a bid bond, payable to the City of Portland for an
amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the bid
as guaranty that the bid shall be irrevocable for the period specified in the
proposal Said bond to be forfeited as fixed and liquidated damages should
the bidder seek to revoke his offer for any reason not authorized by law and
not consented to by City within the irrevocable period, or neglect or refuse
to enter into contract and provide a suitable bond for the faithful perform
ance of the contract, in the event the said contract is awarded to him.

in the city of Portland, Oregon, until 2:00 p.m. (PDT) on the 7th day of
October, 1982, at 1606 N.E. 45th Ave., Portland, Oregon 97213, at which
time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Sealed proposals for the Sundial Road Relocation, Portland-Troutdale Air­
port, will be received by the Purchasing Manager of the Port of Portland,
700 N.E. Multnomah Street, Portland, Oregon (mailing address: P.O. Box

The proposed work includes:
Site preparation, constructing approximately 4,000 lineal
feet of two lane asphalt road, installing a storm drainage
system, marking the pavement, installing signs, fencing,
and miscellaneous related work.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Housing Authority of Port­
land, U .S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the
bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5% ) of
the bid shall be submitted with each bid.
A prebid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
September 14, 1982, in the conference room at the office/
restaurant building on the south side of Portland-Troutdale
Airport to discuss all phases of the work.

trict of Oregon (Tri-Met) will receive sealed bids until 3:00 p.m ., Pacific
Daylight Time, on October 19, 1982, at 4012 S.E. 17th Avenue in the Con­
tracts Section, Third Floor, Portland, Oregon 97202, Attention: John R.
Post, Director of Engineering and Contracts. Bids will be opened in Confer­
ence Room "C & D" at that time for:

cation shall be required for this project.
Prequalification applications or statements must be prepared during the
period of one year prior to the bid date and must be actually received or
postmarked to Multnomah County by not later than 10 days prior to bid
opening.

MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE UTILIZATION: All bidders are hereby

No bid will be received or considered unless the bid contains a statement by

No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a check payable to
Multnomah County, certified by a responsible bank, or in lieu thereof, a

Scope:
Recoating approximately 3,100 square feet of concrete
canopy running along the airfield side of the terminal build­
ing, including removing and disposing of existing built-up
roof and metal fascia, cleaning concrete surface, furnish­
ing and applying protective coating, and furnishing and in­
stalling new metal fascia.
A prebid conference will be held Wednesday, September
8, 1962, at 1:30 p.m ., in the third floor Conference Room
316 in the Terminal Building at Portland International Air­
port to discuss all phases of the work.
Contract documents are available at the above Port offices.
All proposals must be on the regular blank forms provided to prospective
bidders.
Prequalification will not be required for this bidding. Bidders who are in
doubt as to their qualifications are encouraged to contact the Purchasing
Manager informally to determine their qualification status.
Attention is called to the provisions of the Oregon Revised Statutes 279.360
providing that workers be paid prevailing wage rates.
