Metropolitan Tranaportation District of Oregon (Tri-Met) at the Water Ser
vices Building Auditorium, 1800 S.W . Sixth Avenue, Portland, Oregon, at
10:00 a.m ., Monday, June 28, 1882 for the purpose of considering projects
for which financial assistance la being Bought from the Urban Maas Trans
portatlon under Section 3 of the Urban Tranaportation A ct o f 1964, as
amended.
Notice is hereby given that the previously scheduled public hearing to be
held at the request of any interested person(e) by the Tri-County Metropoli
tan Transportation District of Oregon for the purpose of considering the
Section 6 Operating Assistance grant application is cancelled because no
requests wars received. The hearing was previously scheduled for Monday,
Juns 28, 10:00 a.m ., at the W ater Service Building Auditorium. Copies of
the grant application are still available for public inspection at the Tri-M et
office, Planning and Development Department, 4012 S.E. 17th Avenue,
Portland, Oregon.

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Cottage Grove, Oregon until
10:00 a.m . on the 8th day of July, 1962, for the construction of N O R TH
W E ST NEIGHBORHOOD STREET IM PR O V EM EN TS, end will then end
there be opened and publicly reed. Bid proposals received after the tim e
fixed for opening will not be considered.
The total project coat la 418,760,000 of which 416,000,000 is federal share
end 43,760,000 is local share. Projects Included in the grant application in
clude:
Land acquisition and construction of three transit centers in 1)
Tigard, between Commercial Street and the Southern Pacific
Railroad approximately 200 feet south of Main Street;
2) in Milwaukie, on McLoughlin Blvd. between S.E. Jackson
Street and S.E. Monroe Street; and 3) In Oregon City on Railroad
Avenue between 7th Street and 8th Street;
purchase of 36 medium duty vehicles, lift equipped for service to
elderly and handicapped;
land acquisition and construction of a park and ride lot in Bea
verton just east of the Intersection of the reconstructed Tualatin
Valley (TV) Hwy., and S.W . 160th Avenue;
preliminary engineering for minor inner-city transit transfer im
provements including sidewalk widenings, pedestrian crossings
and shelter amenities;
first phase of funding for bus replacement order design and con
struction of an access road to the Westside Maintenance facility
at 186th and Mario Road;
Transportation System Management Improvements in W ash
ington County including shelter installation, bus stop and access
improvements at 24 locations along the TV highway and 37 loca
tions along 186th Avenue;

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Tri-County
Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (Tri-Met) at the Water Ser

Tranaportation Administration through an amendment to an existing capital
grant under Section 3 of the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as
amended.
A field inspection of each project will be held on W ednesday, July 14,
1982, beginning at 8:00 a.m . at Royal Rose Court, 5111 N. Vancouver
Avenue. A Housing Authority representative will be present to conduct a
tour of each location and answer questions.
Vendors wishing to bid must first submit a completely assembled storm
window for written approval no later than ten (10) calendar days prior to bid
opening. All storm windows must be submitted to the Housing Authority at
1605 N.E. 45th Ave., Portland.
At the hearing Tri-Met will afford an opportunity for interested persons or

It is the intent of the Owner to award a contract to the lowest responsible

No bid will be considered unless fully complete in the manner provided in

a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check executed in favor of the City
of Cottage Grove, Oregon, in an amount not less than ten (10) per cent of
the total amount of the bid as bid security.
If a successful bidder fails to execute the contract within ten (10) days from
the awarding of the bid, the City reserves the right to reject that bid propo
sal; and, said bid bond and the money represented thereby shall remain the
property of the City, and the surety shall pay that amount to the City.

This project includes purchase of five medium duty mini-buses with lifts and
five radios specially designed for elderly and handicapped service. The total
project cost is 4182,061 (4146,641-federal funds and 436,410-local funds), a
description of the entire scope of Tri-Met’s service to the elderly and handi
capped will be provided at the hearing.
This project is included in the M SD Transportation Improvement Program
and will be in the annual element for FY '82. No persons, families, or busi
nesses will ba displaced by this p roject. There will be no significant
environmental impact by this project upon the service area.

Conversion of Balcony Area Into Enclosed Workroom
land acquisition and preliminary engineering for the Sunset
Transit Center, a major timed-transfer center located north of
the Hwy. 217 and Sunset Hwy. interchange;
design and construction of minor eastside transportation system
- improvements including shelter installation, concrete pads, cor
ner cutbacks; construction improvements at the Barbur Transit
Station.
The project consists of the reconstruction of various street improvements
including but not limited to excavation, grading, aggregate base, pavement
surfacing and resurfacing, concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, storm drain
age facilities, and all work incidental thereto as set forth in the project plans
