G R A M Bidders who employ subcontractors that have been
certified by the Port of Portland as an MBE and arrange lor them
to perform work or supply materials that represent not less than
10 per cent of the total dollar amount bid will be given a 2 per
cent bidding advantage over bidders not making such arrange
ments.

Furnishing and Installatin of Jib Crane System and Construction
of Radiator Repair Area.
Construct 2 acre parking lot of asphaltic concrete pavem ent
with associated grading, fencing, area lighting, landscaping,
and concrete curbing and driveway.
All proposals must be on the regular blank forms which will be provided to
prospective bidders, and must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's
check drawn on an Oregon bank or bid bond payable to The Port of Port
land in an amount equal to at least 10 per cent of the total amount bid.
Bidders are required to prequalify. Prequalification statements must be re
ceived at least 10 calendar days prior to the time set for bid opening. Appli
cations for prequalification may be submitted less than 10 calendar days be
fore bid opening but consideration by the Port cannot be assured.

Copies may be obtained by prospective bidders at no cost.

This project is funded by the U .S . Department of Housing & Urban Devel
opment (HUD). The following provisions apply:
1 Contractors shall provide a statement that the provision regarding pre
vailing rates of wage required by ORS. 279.350 and the Davis-Bacon Act
shall be complied with.
2. All bidders shall comply with the applicable provisions of the Equal Em
ployment Opportunity Act of 1972 and the Civil Rights Act of 1964
