Time: 3:00pm , (PDT)
Sealed bids for the project designated above will be recieved by Lane Coun­
ty hereinafter referred to as the Owner, (acting by and through its Agent,
the Housing Authority and Community Services Agency of Lane County
(HACSA) to receive bids and sign contracts) at Lane County Department of
Finance, on the ground level floor of the County Public Service Building,
125 E. Eighth Avenue, Eugene, Oregon 97401, Attention: Pet Free, before
the time and date indicated above: at which time they will be opened pub­
licly and read aloud in Harris Hall, South Room (basement) at 125 E. Eighth
Avenue, Eugene, Oregon 97401. Bids may be mailed or delivered to the
Finance Department address shown above. HA CSA shall act on behalf of
Lane County as the authorized agent for all managerial and administrative
functions connected w ith the construction of the Dexter W astew ater
facilities.
Principal items of work consist of the following:
1. SCHEDULE A
a.
Phase 1 Mainline collection system. Major items of work include
approximately 20.000 linear feet of 4-inch and 6-inch PVC gravity
sewer, associated manholes and cleanouts, service laterals to the right
of way, jacked or bored highway crossing, Dexter Road package pump
station and force main, miscellaneous appurtenances, cleanup and
testing.
b. Phase 2 Interceptors A3, A4.3, service laterals and septic tanks. M a­
jor items of work include approximately 28,000 linear feet of 4-inch
PVC, service laterals from right of way to redidences, approximately
115 septic tanks, abandonment of existing septic tanks, cleanouts, res­
toration, miscellaneous apprutenances, cleanup and testing.
2. SCHEDULE B Wastewater treatment facility. Major items of work con­
sisting of a 62,000 gallon per day treatment facility including site prepar­
ation, fencing, metering manhole, recirculation/equalization tank, recir­
culating sand filter, dosing tank, control buildings, drainfield, domestic
well pump, yard piping, pumps, associated piping, mechanical, electri­
cal, controls, landscaping, access road, and miscellaneous work.
Bids shall tie based on the contract lump sum and unit bid prices.
Work will be substantially completed with the following calendar days after
the date set forth in the Notice to Proceed.

No bid will be considered unless fully complete in the manner provided in
the "Instructions to Bidders" upon the bid form provided.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check or cashiers
check made payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 10% of the
amount of the bid. The bid bond/check shall be given as a guarantee that
the bidder will execute the contract if it be awarded to him in conformity
with the contract documents and shall provide surety bond or bonds as
specified therein within 15 days after notification of Award of Contract to
the bidder
The successful tedder will be required to furnish a performance bond in an
amount not less than 100% of the contract price.

Community Services Agency of Lane County, 172 East Eighth Avenue,
Eugene, Oregon 97401.

not consented to by City within the irrevocable period, or neglect or refuse

No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or
before Award of Contract, unless an award is delayed for a period
exceeding 90 days.
No bid will be received or considered unless the bid contains a statement
that the provisions regarding prevailing rates of wage required by ORS
279 350 and the Davis Bacon Act, as may be applicable, shall lie complied
with.
All envelopes must be sealed and plainly marked on the outside showing
the name of the bidder, date and time of bid opening, the project name, and
the words "Sealed Bids."
A prebid meeting will be held on June 15, 1982 at 9:00 am for Schedule A
and 1 OOprn for Schedule B, respectively, at the Dexter Community Center
located at 82781 Barbre Road, Dexter, Oregon. Test holes will be dug at
various key locations throughout the Community.
