Wh6n Bid Surety is required, proposals shall be accompanied by a certified
check, cashier's check or a bid bond, payable to the City of Portland for an
amount not less than tan percent (10% ) of the aggregate amount of the bid
as guaranty that the bid shall be irrevocable for the period specified in the
proposal. Said bond to be forfeited as fixed and liquidated damages should
the bidder seek to revoke his offer for any reason not authorized by law and
not consanted to by City within the irrevocable period, or neglect or refuse
to enter into contract and provide a suitable bond for the faithful perform­
ance of the contract, in the event the said contract is awarded to him.
NON-DISCRIM INATION: No proposal or bid will be coneidered unless the
bidder is certified as an EEO Affirmative Action Employer as prescribed by
Chapter 3.100 of the Code of the City of Portland. All bidders not currently

Contractor prequallficvation will be required by the Architect ten (10) calen
dar days before bid opening. A rchitect to notify all noneligible bidders
seven (7) days before bid opening. Prequalification forms shall be AIA Doc­
ument A306, available from the Portland Chapter of the American Institute
of Architects.
Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied
by a bid bond or a certified check payable to Centro Cultural of Washing­
ton County, in an amount not less than ten per cent (10% ) of the amount
bid.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Pay­
ment Bond for faithful performance of the Contract in the full amount of the
Contract price.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and
wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project,
and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for em­
ployment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, reli­
gion, sex, or national origin.
Contractors must also conform to Affirmative Action for Equal Employment
Opportunity requirements as outlined in the Contract Documents.
