the goals o f the Association is “ to
build love and fellowship among
local Baptist churches— starting
first and foremost with local Baptist
Pastors and preachers.” One ex
ample o f this was a breakfast held
for Baptist preachers this past No
vember. The breakfast was held at
the St. M ark Baptist Church and
was sponsored by the Association.
Also, in November of last year, lo
cal Pastors— along with the mem
bers o f their respective churches—
united to fellowship with the newly
born Macedonia Missionary Baptist
Church, under the Pastorship of the
Rev. T.C. Baker.

The Union District Baptist Asso
ciation will hold its W inter Board
Meeting Friday, January 15, 1982 at
7:00 p.m . and Saturday, January
16, 1982 at 9:00 a.m . The session
will convene at the St. Paul Baptist
Church 8101 N. Fiske, the Rev.
James C .E . Faulkner, Pastor. The
Association, under the leadership of
the Rev. Eugene Boyd, Jr., Pastor
o f the Providence Baptist Church,
will feature a prayer and evening
worship service on Friday evening;
and, on Saturday, it will continue
with Bible study groups, a Bible les
son, and a sermon. The Associa
tion’s regular business hour is also
conducted on Saturday.
