One day there was a man named Joy
Santa
Brings candy
W arm , big round
Chuckles all the time
He sees snow every year
Nicholas.
Twas the night
Before Christmas
A ll through the house
not a creature was
stirring not eve a mouse.
The children were in bed
dreaming o f candycanes
and presents.
M a was asleep and I was
about to fall asleep.
1 heard a noise so I sprang
from my bed and opend the
shutters to see what the
noise was. W ho did I see
but St. Nick himself. He
camd down. I ran
downstairs to see him. He
had two rosy cheeks as red
as cherries. His pipe had
black smoke coming from
it. He filled the stockings
that hung by the fire with
care then he put the
presents under the tre. He
stood under the fire and
with a twinkle in his eyes he
touched the side o f his nose
and was gone. 1 ran to my
bedroom window, then I
heard him say, “ Merry
Christmas to and to all a
good night!” Then I went
back to sleep.
