Sealed bids for reconstruction of Sanitary Sewers. Project A, in Lowell.
Oregon, will be received by The Housing Authority and Community Ser­
vices Agency of Lane County (H A C S A ) 172 East 8th Avenue, Eugene,
Oregon, 97401, until 10:00 a.m ., September 8, 1981, at which time bids will
be opened at the above location and publicly read aloud.
The project consists of reconstruction of approximately 3,500 lineal feet of
8'' mam line sanitary sewer together with service line reconnections and
other appurtenances.
The project will be funded in whole by com m unity Developm ent Block
Grant funds, the receipt of which will necessitate compliance with certain
federal regulations.

The Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (Tri-Met) is
issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Banfield Light Rail Transit Project
Insurances Management Services.
This procurement is subject to a Financial Assistance contract between Tri-

Beaumont, Texas. He served in the
U .S . A rm y for 10 years, and after
discharge moved to P o rtlan d and
worked for the postal service. He
was an associate minister and head
o f youth work at W illia m Tem ple
L hurch o f God in C hris,. He was a
counselor during the early days o f
the A lb in a Youth O p p o rtu n ity
School.
During his 13 years as pastor o f
H ighland C hurch, he served the
community in many capacities. He
was a founder and board member o f
H ighland C o m m u n ity Services,
In c ., a member o f the board for
Homeland Ministries o f the United
Church o f C h ris t, and served as
director o f community programs for
the Albina Ministerial Alliance. He
made his church building available
to community programs, including
the A M A F am ily Day and N igh,
C are P rogram , and his tim e
available to counsel young people.
A t the tim e o f his death. Rev.
Johnson directed a program for
training minorities for the Oregon
State D epartm ent o f T ran sp o r­
tation.
Survivors include his w ife, Opal;
a daughter, Vera Lynn Jones; sons,
Samuel, J r., and Richard, and one
grandchild, Chris Jones II.
The family suggests that in lieu o f
