When Bid Surety is required, proposals shall be accompanied by e certified
check, cashier's check or a bid bond, payable to the City of Portland for an
amount not less than ten percent ( 10%) of the aggregate amount of the bid
as guaranty that the bid shall be irrevocable for the period specified in the
proposal. Said bond to be forfeited as fixed and liquidated damages should
the bidder seek to revoke his offer for any reason not authorized by law and
not consented to by City within the irrevocable period, or neglect or refuse

Section 5 o f the Urban Mass Transportation Act o f 1964, as amended,
provides federal capital assistance to Urban Mass Transportation systems,
whereby the Tri-C ounty M etropolitan Transportation District o f Oregon
(T ri-M e t), has already received approval o f $1,936,684 Federal funds for
the Westside Bus Garage (M e rlo storage yard, employee parking area and
fencing), passenger counters, M ilw aukie Transit Center and Clackamas
Town Center Transit Center. This project is included in Tri M et’s program
o f projects for fiscal year 1981-82 and is a part o f the M S D Transportation
Improvement Program
At the hearing Tri-M et will afford an opportunity for interested persons or
agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic and environmental
