NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that tw o public hearings w ill be held by the Tri
County M etropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (Tri Met) in the
auditorium of the Bonneville Power Adm inistration, 1002 NE Holladay
Street at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, September 8. 1981, and 7 30 p m on
Thursday, September 10, 1981, to receive public comment on proposed
bus service changes which w ill affect passengers in northwest, north,
northeast and southeast Portland, and along River Road in north
Clackamas County.
Included in these changes is the establishment of a grid type system within
north, northw est and eastside Portland w ith radical routes and ,0
crosstown routes This network will involve the restructing or elimination of
existing inefficient routes as well as the addition of new routes Improved
service frequency will be provided on key urban routes, seven days a week,
to handle passenger volumes and transfers inherent in a grid type system
Written or oral comments may be submitted in advance of the hearings to
