Plans and specifications may be obtained at the above address For ad­
ditional information telephone buyer at number listed.
When Bid Surety is required, proposals shall be accompanied by a certified
check, cashier's check or a bid bond, payable to the City of Portland for an
amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the bid
as guaranty that the bid shall be irrevocable for the period specified in the
proposal. Said bond to be forfeited as fixed and liquidated damages should
the bidder seek to revoke his offer for any reason not authorized by law and
not consented to by City within the irrevocable period, or neglect or refuse
to enter into contract and provide a suitable bond for the faithful perfor­
mance of the contract, in the event the said contract is awarded to him.
NON DISCRIMINATION: No proposal or bid will be considered unless the
bidder is certified as an EEO Affirmative Action Employer as prescribed by
Chapter 3.100 of the Code of the City of Portland. All bidders not currently

within seventy-five (75) days after the date of opening.
The work to be bid at this time includes Segment 3 - Pump Station 12 only.
Segment 4 will be bid at a later date.

Copies of the Plans and Specifications may be obtained upon application at
the Portland office of STRAAM Engineers upon payment of a deposit of
$75.00; the deposit will be refuneded upon return of the documents in good
condition within 15 days after opening of bids. If the Plans or Specifications
are damaged so as to preclude their further use, or if they are not returned
within the 15-day period, the entire deposit will be retained.
A pre bid conference will be held in Lincoln City approximately two weeks
prior to the bid opening and will include a visit to the pumping station. The
bidder shall satisfy himself as to the existing condition of the pumping
station the extent of the modifications as required Contact the City or the
engineers for the exact time and place.
All proposals must be submitted on the regular proposal forms and must be
accompanied by a certified check, cash or a bid bond in an amount equal to
at least 5 percent of the toal basic bid. A corporate surety bond in the full
amount of the contract will be required for the successful bidder to guaran
tee faithful performance.

NOTICE OF HEARING
I
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Tri-County
Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (Tri-Met), at the Water Ser
vices Building Auditorium, 1800 S. W. Sixth Avenue, Portland, Oregon, at
10:00 a m., August 31, 1981, for the purpose of considering a project for
which financial assistance to the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964,
as amended. The project for which funding is being sought is the construc­
tion of a park and ride lot at Clackamas Town Centr Transit Center.
Section 5 of the Urban Mass Transportation A ct of 1964, as amended,
provides Federal capital assistance to Urban Mass Transportation systems,
whereby the Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon
(Tri-Met), has already received approval of $1,936,684 Federal funds for the
Westside Bus Garage (Merlo storage yard, employee parking area and fen­
cing), passenger counters, Milwaukie Transit Center and Clackamas Town
Center Transit Center. This project is included in Tri-M et's program of
projects for fiscal year 1981 82 and is a part of the MSD Transportation Im­
provement Program.
At the hearing Tri Met will afford an opportunity for interested persons or
agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic and environmen­
tal aspects of the project. Interested persons may submit oral or written
evidence and recommendations with respect to the project.
