Timesound! That's what Thara Memory calls his tightly woven collage o f
harm ony, melodies and rhythm s that chase the story o f jazz from ancient
drumbeats through time and right on into the Civic Auditorium .
Live entertainment boasts effortlessly o f trucly entertaining people no mat
ter what form it comes in. T o have it brought in this special form promises
spontaneous combustion and a renewed cxcitment about the arts. And what
makes Timesounds so special? W ell, there are several Am erican folktales
which could be extracted from this project - the most popular is the evolution
o f jazz; the most notew orthy being the recent a ffirm a tio n o f Portlanders

that can remember and the curiosity o f ever body else as styles o f expression.
The experience o f watching the Creative Jaz- Orchestra rehearse the blending

There came a new relationship between harmony, melody, and rhythm at
the turn o f this century. America birthed jazz at a twentieth century art form .
Many tried to hide its influence under a bushel and some tried to confine its
d om ain to barroom s and w horehouses, but L o u is A rm s tro n g , Duke
E llin g to n , Ella Fitzgerald and many others have made Kings, Queens and
presidents stand and applaud. There’ s no denying people love music. Thara

people, Black Paris are revealed in Timesound and bridge European har

sound. Jazz musicians cannot be limited by the Western-man concept that we
are best when we are th in k in g , but orders th ought, feeling reflection, and
emotion to come together in a single resolve - the act o f doing.

decide to pay o ff social obligations w ith one big bash. Neptunes aspects are
fortunate near the 21st.
This can be a month o f career progress, but it probably won’t be one o f those
sm oolh-as-silk achievements. On or near the 17th, 26th and 27th, are
favorable days for seeking monetary favors, should you be interested.
Near the 14th. 21st, and 28th, those close to you including males or children,
may lend lo be louchy, or trigger-tempered, so mark your calendar with the
word "p a tie n c e !" This could be a productive period on yout job. Promote
yourself and abilities near the 23rd
If you have a special creative talent or dream up unusual, original and in
novative business deals and ideals, this is ihe time to promote them (There’ s
a fo rtu n a te accent on new beginnings). The 10th, 1 Ith and 19th m ight
produce criticism - but you can handle it.
It is important to remember not to be headstrong with your mate or partner
this month Approach domestic developments w ith objectively and love.
(Take advantage o f a sound money-making opportunity on or near the 26th).
In general, this is a time to begin new jo in t ventures, perhaps travel as a
fam ily unit, or mend fences with in-laws (in case there are fences that need
repairing) I f single, or declaration o f love near the 23rd could surprise you.
