The Tri County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (Tri-Met) is

qualified to assist in the preparation of construction plans, specifications,
and construction expansion of the Mario Road Operations Base in Wash
ington County.
At this time Tri Met is interested in receiving a Letter of Qualification only
from firms who intend to act in a prime consultant or joint venture role.
Based on the review of each submitted Statement of Qualifications, Tri-Met
will invite a limited number of firms to submit detailed proposals.
The basic elements of the proposed expansion are the M aintenance/
Operations building or buildings and expanded bus parking facilities.

Analysis. The purpose of this study is to determine Tri-Met's current and
future maintenance facility requirements.
The consultant will be asked to:
(a) Develope a site plan for the Merlo Road operations Base and a
functional plan for the maintenance building;
(b) Determine the maximum capacity of T ri-M e t's existing main
tenance facilities;
(c) Determine Tri-Met's future maintenance facility requirements;
(d) Determine the feasibility of expanding existing Tri-M et main
tenance facilities, and
(e ) Develope specific five and ten year maintenance facility expansion
programs.
