Careers f o r the 1980s
It is no secret that the United States is headed into a recession and that young people can
look forward to "Tw in evils" - inflation and unemployment. Now , more than ever before,
young people should prepare fo r ' ‘inflation p r o o f careers. ’ ’ A ccording to a study by the
Black Collegian, inflation p r o o f careers include: Bank officers and managers, data
processing, engineering and physical sciences, life and biological sciences, medical, and ac­
counting.

Rita Redeau is a trainee with the Oregon State Highway Depart­
