on Thursday, December 6, I979 at the M em orial Coliseum is being
rescheduled. A new dale will be announced as soon as possible.
Tickets purchased lor (he original date will be honored at the rescheduled
dale; or should the show be cancelled, costs o f tickets will be refunded.

I he group was welcomed lo (he campus by Dr. Owen D. Nichols, Viee-
I’ residem Tor Administration and Secretary o f (lie University. Also on hand to
welcome (he Directors was Andrea Barnes, the current Miss Black Teenage
World Pageant titleholder, front Goldsboro, North Carolina.
I be Miss Black Teenage World Pageant will celebrate ns Light Anniversary
m 1980, and the Directors made plans to make 1980 the biggest pageant finals
in its history with national television.
Several new stales have joined the organization, and plans were made lo
acquire Directors in West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Iowa,
Arizona, Oklahoma and the State o f Washington. Persons interested should
eontael PUI, Post Office Box 11.19, Danville. Va. 24541. I he pageant is open
to teenagers 15 to 17 years o f age and presents annually $75.000 in college
scholarships to the top 15 finalists with trophies and prizes going io all of the
pageant participants. To dale, the organization has presented over $825,000 in
scholarships to teenagers since 1973, and presently 115 former contestants are
enrolled in colleges and universities across the country.
Any individual, group or civic organization, can secure a franchise to
produce an official local or state pageant. Information can be obtained from
the Pageants Unlimited, Inc., national headquarters in Danville, Virginia.
