We are a major Pacific Northwest utility agency
with work in progress on five nuclear power
plants. We are seeking candidates to staff a per
manent security force.
Initial responsibilities will involve the completion
of a comprehensive training program (tactics,
weaponry, physical conditioning, etc.), plus
physical security of the plant construction sites
and headquarters facilities located in the vicinity
of Richland, Washington. Long range responsi
bilities will involve permanent maintenance of
physical security for these same locations
throughout the post-construction operating
phase. These positions require shift and
weekend work assignments.
Minimum qualifications are: high school
diploma (or GED certificate); at least 21 years of
age; possess and maintain a valid Washington
driver’s Jicense; no record of felony conviction.
Demonstrated ability to write and speak clearly
is a must! Previous military security or civilian
law enforcement experience is desirable. In ad
dition, the successful candidate must pass a
pre-employment physical examination, a
psychological examination and a physical fit
ness test. During the course of employment,
each individual selected will be required to
satisfy all existing and new qualifications im
posed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Com
mission.
Minimum starting salary will be $6.00 per hour,
plus uniform and uniform maintenance allow
ances. Our comprehensive fringe benefit
package includes paid vacation, sick leave and
holidays; also included are pension, insurance
and educational assistance.
