Bidders must be prequalified in compliance with applicable parts of Chapter 279
of Oregon Revised Statutes Oregon State Standard Prequalification forms, if
needed, may be obtained from the Engineer. These forms, completely filled out,
should be submitted to the Director of Public Works for the City of Bend, Oregon
at least 10 days prior to the bidding date. The Engineer will issue Proposal forms
to qualified bidders
Before a Contract will be awarded for the work contemplated herein, the Owner
will conduct such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance
record and ability of the apparent low Bidder to perform the size and type of work
specified under this Contract. Upon request, the Bidder shall submit such infor
m ation as deem ed necessary by the O w n er to e v a lu a te th e B idder's
qualifications.
Each Proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a
certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the City
of Bend, Oregon, in an amount not less than 10 percent of the amount bid.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s)
for the faithful performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Contract
Documents.

design of a $650,000 Senior/Multi-Purpose Community Center. The 15,000-
20,000 square foot building will be located on city property at North Clackamas
Park. Modular or prefabricated construction is being considered. Qualified
minority and local architectural firms are encouraged to submit proposals for
consideration. A fixed fee is being considered by the City for architectural ser
