NUMBER 1 - 1964 - Ali defeated Sonny
Liston as a twenty-two year old Olympic
Gold Medal winner, to become the
Heavyweight Champion of the World.
NUMBER 2 - 1974 - Ali defeated George
Foreman to regain the Championship. His
crown had been removed for his
courageous stand against the Vietnam

War and his refusal of draft induction but
he was exonerated by the Supreme
Court.
NUMBER 3 - 1978 - Ali defeated Leon
Spinks to regain the title won by Spinks in
an earlier bout. He was the first to win the
Heavyweight Championship three times
and will forever be the People's Cham
pion.
