A deposit of fifty dollars (S60.00) will be required and will be refunded upon return
of the documents in good condition within ten (10) davs after the bid opening. I f the
plans or specifications are damaged so as to preclude their future use, the deposit
will be forfeited.
Plans and specifications wifi be mailed parcel poet. Those desiring air mail parcel
post or special handling shall include with their request for plans and specifications a
check, or money order, separate from the plan deposit, in the amount of 85.00 for each
set requested. This fee shall be non-refundable.
Bidders must submit prequalification statements in compliance with applicable
parts of Chapter 279 of Oregon Revised Statutes.
Oregon State Standard
Prequalifieation forms, if needed, may be obtained from the Engineer. These forms
must be submitted to the City Administrator, City of Redmond. 465 South Seventh.
Redmond. Oregon 97756. at least ten (10) days prior to the bidding date.
Each bidder shall include with the preprinted prequalification statement a written
statement on the extent of his experience with rock excavation. The Contractor shall
also submit the names of past clients where rock excavation has been performed and.
in particular, shall refer to past experience in projects involving excavations in
vesicular basalts.
All proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished with the documents, and
ech must be accompanied by a surety bond, cashier's check or certified check in an
amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the proposal. The
successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond equal to the amount of the proposal
for the faithful performance of the contract.
Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the provisions of the
President's Executive Order No. 11246 and requirements issued thereunder. The
requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the
Contract Documents.
The attention of bidders is dircted to the requirements and conditions of
employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
The bidder must submit with his proposal properly executed forms at "Compliance
Statement" and "Certification of Non-Segregated Facilities" in compliance with the
Environmental Protection Agency special requirements. Bids received without these
completed forms will be considered nonresponsive. Before a contract will be awarded,
the above will be subject to E PA approval.
The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to postpone the award of the
Contract for a period of not to exceed 45 days, and to accept that proposal which is to
the best interests of the City of Redmond.
