Sealed proposals for furnishing of all materials, equipment, labor and services of
all kinds for the construction of the Irrigation System for the City of Redmond,
Oregon, will be received at City Hall, 455 South Seventh, Redmond, Oregon 97756
until February 22. 1977 and will be publicly opened and read at that time. The
Contract will be awarded or proposals rejected within forty fh e (451 days after the
opening.
The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, construction of 19,190 feet
of 24-inch concrete sewer pipe interceptor, a 82 acre soil cement lined holding pond, a
22 foot by 28 foot irrigation pump station, 5400 feet of eight inch and 750 feet of six
inch PVC irrigation pressure main, four center pivot spray irrigation units covering
143 acres, and other site improvements.
Plans and specifications may be examined or obtained at the office of Robert E.
Meyer Engineers. Inc. 14250 S.W. Allen Blvd., Beaverton. Oregon 97005; or Robert E.
Meyer Engineers, Inc., 1655-2 W. Highland Avenue, Redmond, Oregon 97756.
A deposit of fifty dollars ($60.00) wifi be required and will be refunded upon return

collection system including approximately 49,500 lineal feet of 8-inch to 24 inch gravity
sewer pipe, 8,600 lineal feet of 4-inch to 6-inch service connection pipe, manholes,
urtace restoration, four major canyon rim excavations, and other appurtenances.
Schedule 4:
Construction of the lateral sewage collection system and interceptor sewage
collection system including approximately 64,500 lineal feet of 8-inch to 18-inch gravity
sewer pipe, 400 lineal feet of 4-inch pressure sewer pipe. 11,500 lineal feet of 4-inch to
6-inch service connection pipe, manholes, surface restoration, nine highway
undercrossings, one railroad undercrowing, six major canal crowings, one canyon rim
crossing, one wet well mounted type pump station and other appurtenances.
Schedule 5:
Construction of the lateral sewage collection system and interceptor sewage
collection system including approximately 27,900 lineal feet of 8-inch to 12-inch gravity
sewer pipe, 5.600 lineal feet of 4-inch to 6-inch service connection pipe, manholes
surface restoration, two major canal crossings and other appurtenances.

Bidders must submit prequalification statements in compliance with applicable
parts of Chapter 279 of Oregon Revised Statutes.
Oregon State Standard
Prequalification forms, if needed, may be obtained from the Engineer. These forms
must be submitted to the City Administrator. City of Redmond. 455 South Seventh.
Redmond. Oregon 97756. at least ten (10) days prior to the bidding date.
Each bidder shall include with the preprinted prequalification statement a written
statement on the extent of his experience with rock excavation. The Contractor shall
also submit the names of past clients where rock excavation h w been performed and,
in particular, shall refer to p w t experience in projects involving excavations in
vesicular basalts.
All proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished with the documents, and
ech must be accompanied by a surety bond, cashier's check or certified check in an
amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the proposal. The
successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond equal to the amount of the proposal
for the faithful performance of the contract.
Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the provisions of the
President's Executive Order No. 11246 and requirements issued thereunder. The
requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the
Contracf Documents.
The attention of bidders is dircted to the requirements and conditions of
employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
The bidder must submit with his proposal properly executed forms of "Compliance
Statement" and “Certification ot Non Segregated Facilities" in compliance with the
Environmental Protection Agency special requirements. Bids received without these
completed forms will be considered nonresponsive. Before a contract will be awarded,
the above will be subject to EPA approval.
The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to postpone the award of the
Contract for a period of not to exceed 45 days, and to accept that proposal which is to
the best interests of the City of Redmond.

for the Portland Black Catholic Lay
Caucus.
Both the supper and the meeting will

The supper will be following the 5 p.m.
Saturday Mass and is scheduled for the
community center at 8th and Alberta.

all kinds for the construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant for the City of
Redmond. Oregon, will be received at the Office of City Hall. 455 South Seventh.
Redmond, Oregon 97756 until 8:30 p.m. PST, February 22, 1977, and will be publicly
opened and read at that time. The Contract will be awarded or proposals rejected
within forty five (45) days after the opening.
The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, construction of a concrete
influent structure, two 136 foot square asphalt lined earthfill aeration basins, two 68
foot diameter asphalt lined earthfill aerobic sludge digestor basins, one 60 foot
diameter concrete clarifier, one 25 foot by 50 foot concrete chlorine contact basin, a
two story 20 foot by 30 foot concrete mechanical building, a 135 foot by 140 foot sludge
drying bed, a 2200 square foot single story concrete office/lab/maintenance building a
domestic water well, yard work, yard piping and landscaping and access road. '

the City unless the proposal contains a statment by the bidder as a part of his proposal
that the provisions required by ORS 279.350 shall be included in his contract.
Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the provisions of the
Presidents Executive Order No. 11246 and requirements issued thereunder. The
requirements for bidders and contractors under this Order are explained in the
Contract Documents.
The attention of bidders is directed to the requirements and conditions of
employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
The project is being partially funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(LPA). The bidder must submit with his Proposal the following properly executed
documents in accordance with EPA requirements:
A. Contractor’s Compliance Statement (Executive Order No. 112461.
B. Non-Segregated Facilities Statement.
Bids received without these completed forms will be considered nonresponsive.
Before a contract will be awarded, the above will be subject to EPA approval.
The City of Redmond reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive
informalities, to postpone the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed
