K elly Point is managed by the Port of Portland and Portland Public School's
C A T C H Program. Funds are provided through the City's Departm ent ol Human
Resources, Youth Career Training Program. The young people have worked for four
weeks to build the facility and will continue to manage it.
The work experience consists of building a walking tra il and four observation feed
ing areas. The trail is level and lined so that elderly and handicapped people can use
the new facility.
