too.
Since coming to Portland, Rev. Stray-
hand has contributed so much to the
entire community. We urge you to come

at the Allen Temple C.M.E. Church on
Tuesday, July 13th, 1976, at 9:00 a.m..

presiding and dignitaries from various
parts of the country will be in attendance.

woman and cateress. She was actively
involved in early day YWCA project*
particularly those regarding scholarship*
for young. Mrs. Maddox was also a mem
ber of the famous Rose Bud Club.
Her position a* a first class cateress
was recognized by early West Hills Port
land society, where she handled many
luncheons and fine affair*.
A native of Horton, Kansas, she was
married to W. L. Maddox for 25 years
"Women in Action: There's no stopping
them” is the theme for the Women’s Day
Celebration to be held at Mt. Olivet Bap
tist Church on Sunday, July 11th, 1976 at
11 a.m. Guest speaker will be Miss
Evelyn Crowell, Librarian at Portland
State University and President of the
Young Women's Christian Association.

six great grandchildren. Interment was
at Willamette National Cemetery.
