In 1966, the St. Andrews congregation
joined the Council of Community Church
•a. From September 1964 to September
1968, the congregation was housed in
Norris Hall, after which it moved to its
present location at 4800 N.E. 30th Ave­
nue.
In January 1969, the St. Andrews
Community Church becam e affiliated
with the United Church of Christ and is
now a member church of the Central
Pacific Conference of that denomination.

holds its Bicentennial Mammoth Tea.
Guest Artist* on program for the team
will be the Brahm Singers of Vancouver.
Washington in concert beginning at 4:30
p.m. There will be special awards and
recognition for all persons who have
worked to make this Bicentennial Tea
possible.
Members of the church have worked on
various teams since the first of January
sponsoring d ifferen t a ctiv itie s to g e ­
nerate funds to be reported at thia
occasion. Members of the Church have
contributed personal donations and
churches and businesses in the com­
munity have donated for Ad space in the
souvenir booklet for the success of the
Bicentennial Tea.
Teams and tesm leaders composed of
the members of the church worked
separately and together during the past
three months for the one great cause and
will hear the results of all teams at the
Tea. The church members were divided
into thirteen teams as follows: 1. Spann
and Manning Team; 2. DeDeleveaux.

and Glenn Team; 4. Phillips, Armstrong
and Gordon Team; 5. Roger and Gertrude

Mr. Eli Israeli, one of the first native
born touriat guides in Israel, will be
featured as guest speaker at the 11:00
a.m. service at Auguatana Lutheran
Church, N.E. 14th and Knott, on Sunday,
April 4th as a part of the congregation's
len ten theme - “The Passover and our
Wilderness Wanderings" - in reflection
on the roots of the historic Seder meal.
Mr. Israeli is an Old and New Testa­
ment scholar, historian and archaeologist,
as well as an accomplished photographer.
His presentation relates current events
in Israel to biblical history and under­
standings.
His tour of the Pacific Northwest is
being arranged through the offices of the
National Conference of Christians and
Jews.
“This is a unique setting - that of
Christian worship and Holy Communion -
in which the deep sources of the Passover
are discussed by a citizen of Israel,”
