Imported brand names in­ clude A irfix , H^sagawa, Heller. Frog. Tamiya. Re- velle of Japan among others. Included among tbe plastic kit offerings are many historical and present day military airplanes, and ships. Also in stock are miniature military figures, vehicles, and many exciting accessories, such as bridge guard posts, observation to­ wers, and the like. Other plastic kit offerings include such car models as dune buggies, d rag ste rs . m i d custom cars. Hobbiests can also find historical mo­ dels such as the Pocher • Ita lia n made) M ercedes Benz model with 2.300 parts, including a set of roll up windowns. Vintage plastic ship models are in abun­ dance also. Shoppers will find Spanish Gallions. En glish Man 0 ’ W ar. and the U.S.S. Constitution. Advanced modelists de siring a challenge as well as a possibly important future investment can choose from a variety of imported Danish wooden ship models. Only the keel and bulk heads come completed in these kits. The rest of the models' struc­ tures must be completed by the hobbiest from mechani ra lly outlined s tru c tu ra l parts included in the kit. These kits also include such detailed items as rigging and brass fittings. Though in a higher price line about $100 total an attractively completed model can bring the hobbiest a sale price as high as $1,500. Shoppers looking for novelty will find miniature stationery steam engines. The engines are activated with a special pellet causing stored water to boil and build a head of steam. The engines are powerful enough to generate power for such av ailab le accessories as small lights and machines. T he yo u ng er hobbiest, ages four to ten years old, ran enjoy easy to manipulate snap together kits. Tony’s also features such crafts items as paint by the number sets, niacrame kits, wine making kits, string art kits and ya rn decore. Another interesting item is a selection of “doodle art" posters. These do it yourself posters come with a printed outline picture to be filled in with colored ink pens, pro­ vided in the kit. M ark and Gary can offer customers the benefit of year’s of experience. Mark has worked for the parent store for about nine years and has had about a year's experience with a major hobby supplier in Portland. Gary has had about a year and a half with a Vancouver hobby shop he is a member of the Oregon His torical Model Society, and has been an avid modeler for ten years. Season’s fun at J. B.C.
