rest stop" on the way to Kah Nee Ta
Goodbye, rocking chair
That's what a lot of
senior citizens are saying
since their Centers have
inaugurated group tours.
One of the rules specified
by the coordinator is that
they be at the point of
departure at 7:30 a m And
despite th«- fart that some
mornings are a bit cool and
gray they are on time. If
they ve not had that second
cup o f coffee there's plenty
hot and waiting at the
Center
Departure time is
usually 8:00 a m
Provisions have been
made for coffee and rest
stops along the way These
are spaced out according to
the distance of the trip
Usually they occur at some
scenic wayside spot where
those with a camera can get
some good shots.
Although Pall is here and
winter's coming, tours are
still lieing scheduled for
Kah Nee Ta. Bull Run, Port
of Portland. North Oregon
Coast, Estacada, S p irit
Lake. Rene, Olympir Na
tional Park. Verboert, Vic
toria B.C., Wind River.
Hell's Canyon, and
the
Rogue River
These are
just a few scheduled by
Senior Centers for Septem
her.
The winter months
won't find these globe
trotting seniors longing for
the sun
they'll follow it,
as tours are in the making
for all winter long.
