There is only one other s institution in Oregon and no other private institution with this approval. Oregon ia placing a high priority on the improve ment of reading skills among the students in its school*, and Pacific's new program to train reading teachers will make a rontri button to this effort, Dr. John L. Parker. Pacific education chairman, points out. The new Pacific program is designed for both ele mentary and secondary trainees as well as current teachers. laile afternoon courses will be offered during the fall.
