Others, in keeping with the

chures made available at the
First N ationals Iliad Office
and at its 136 branch offices.
Each coin is minted in
sterling silver anil, as com ol

face value

summer of 1976. I here will

lor a total of 26 coins
The coins are minted on a
limited basis
the sets ar<
packaged in a numismatic
display rase and each coin is
individually protected from
scratches and tarnish by a
clear styrene plastic capsule.
Proceeds from the sale of

make the Olympics, to be
held in Montreal in July
1976, virtually self financing.
The plan calls for three

States to lie turned over to

and mart,uniting.
On Jan
uary 3rd, Clara Fairfield will
again exhibit her skill at
woodcarving, and Ethelynn
Demonmn will dem onstrate
spinning. On Sunday, Jan
uary 5th, St. Nicholas Ortho­
dox Church will wind up the
OMSI arts and crafts show
with another of its displays

days, the Oregon Museum of
Science and Industry has
scheduled a series of week
end arts and crafts demon
strations through January 5.
As part of "Joyous Season"
a c t i v i t i e s a t O M S I, th e
craftspeople will be showing
off a number of skills, from
doll making to glass sculp
lure, and "pysanky" li.e.,
fancy egg painting) to wood
inlay and marquetting.
Friday through Sunday,
D ecem b er 2 0th th rou gh
22nd, three crafts will be
demonstrated. On December
20th. artist Dale Champlin of
the OMSI staff will exhibit
her skill at doll making.
Then, on December 21st, St.
Nicholas Orthodox Church of
Portland
will
present

demonstration in the art of
"pysanky." Finally, on Sun
day, December 22nd. Jim
Blashfield will display the
skills involved in film am
mation.

Saturday. December 26th,
Allan Kiel will demonstrate
glass sculpture.

staffers, Shabtay Ia-vy and
