Two brothers, Nagi Daifullah, 24. and Juan de la Cruz, 60, died violent deaths at the hands of a Kern County Deputy Sheriff lin the first killing) and some plainclothes gun men (in the second murder). The history of the struggle has recorded the onslaught perpetrated and sanctioned by particular vested interests in the United States against individuals seeking justice and self determination. Er nesto 'Che' Guevara, a Latino American revolutionary mur dered by CIA trained Boli vian soldiers; Ruben Salazar, a Chicano newspaper re porter killed by the police during the 1970 Chicano Na tional Moratorium; Don Pedro Albizu Campos. Puerto Rican revolutionary and President of the Puerto Rican National 1st Party died after being imprisoned; Amilcar Cabral, an African freedom fighter and Secretary General of the African Party for the Inde pendence of Guinea and Cape Verde was assassinated by the Portuguese sympathizers; Santos Rodriques, an eleven year old Chicano fatally shot by a Dallas patrolman, etc. These are just a few of the multitude w ho have fallen be cause of similar violence. Nagi Daifullah and Juan de la Cruz exemplified the indr vidual commitment to the struggle. For as farmworkers they knew that there can be no flowers without fertile soil and there is not fertile soil without leaves that fall to the ground and die. Just like there can be no resurrection without crucifixion and no joy CMSSTff&ML JU VENILE COURT TRAFFIC REFEREE P A ttK IM I PATROL ILLPt IT Start at $697 with periodic increases to $851.
