When the doctor told M rs. Alice Williams, who lives on
NE Schuyler S treet, that as therapy for her heart trouble
she should ride a bike, we wonder If he realized that she
would become known for her bicycle. M rs. Williams was
born in Durham, North Carolina and has been a Portland
resident for 26 y ears. She Is a member of Allen Temple
CME church and an active participant. Now 70 years old,
she rides her bike with tlie agility ol a teenager. She Is
pictured with her blue fringed su rre y top, suitable for pro
