Many of the senior citize ns are shut-ins who are unable to shop fo r and prepare th e ir own m eals. 7 he m eals are prepared at the M t. O live t B ap tlstC hu rch. Volunteer w o rke rs take food to those who are p h ysica lly un able locom e to the Loaves and F i s h e s C e nter located at 116 N J i. Schuyler S treet. The George C a rte r Loaves and F is le s C e nter has been in operation since J u ly 15, 1971. Generous d o n a t i o n s from many sources helped get the program started . The only paid employee is the fine cook at the center. H e r sa la ry Is paid through the generous donations fro m the supporting churches. TTie others w ork on a volunteer basis. There is no set charges fo r the lunches. They are provided on a "p a y as you are able b a s is ."
