snows at Christmas time feel
that they can depend on the snow
at that time of the year, Yet,
because we cannot control the
weather we know that even these
people cannot always say it Is

Those of us who live In the part

ly cold or rainy in the winter
expect this type of weather at

based program set up to effect

for minority persons, opened an
office today In the Interchurch
Center, 0245 SW Bancroft.
The project alms to put the
buying power of churches to
work to help combat patterns of
discrimination In employment,
a c c o r d in g to Derek M ills,
Northwest Regional Director.
Participating churches, schools,
hospitals, and related institu­
tions committed to the project
will ask for a new purchasing
specification from all suppliers
of goods and services - equal
opportunity in all aspects of
employment.
The Portland Project Equality
office is the nineteenth to open
