14 THE -MOUSING OREGOXIAX, MONDAY, DECEMBER 25, 1922 HAINES SHIPS HAY, GRAIN ,18,883 Bnshels of Wheat Sent to Portland in Week. HAINES, r., Dec. 24. (Special.) Local shipments of wheat by the Oregon Co-operative Grain Growers' association for last week totaled 16,882 bushels, valued at $17,726. The grain was consigned to Portland. The estimated quantity of wheat stored in Haines warehouses this season Is approximately 90,000 bushels, 80 per cent of which is said to be controlled by the asso ciation. Both grain and hay shipments, which have been held up on account of the car shortage, are being made, as cars are more easily obtained. Hay shipments during the past 10 davs have been about 50 cars of high-grade timothy, which is bring ing to the growers $18 per ton on the car.
