Suit involving shares of stock re puted to have a value of cloee to $1,000,000 was filed in circuit court yesterday, by James J. Turrlsh ! agrainst Henry Turrish. also known . as "Charles Henry" Turrlsh. In the . first cause of action the plaintiff wants Judgment for $9.6,000. given : as the value of 275 shares of stock i in the Western Land company. Ltd, 1 - . t ; , a Minnesota corporation. It is al-. leged that these shares were turned i vr to the iefpridant without con- sideration on June 9, .1914. and that he converted them to his own use in July of this year In another cause of action it Is alleged that seven shares of stock in the Curran Timber company of Everett, Wash., having a value of $100 a share, were converted to the use of the defendant though belong in b- tn the nlaintiff. A further alle gation is that the defendant holds ! em Timber company of Vancouver, Wash., which belong to the plaintiff. The court is asked to order the re turn of these shares to James J. Turrish. The men are brothers. James Turrish is residing in Portland, While Henry is a millionaire and reputed multimillionaire of Duluth, Minn., heavily interested in timber in the northwest and also in big projects of middle western states.
