of June 9, 1916 (39 Stat., 218), and June
4. 1920 41 Stat, 758), and the Instruc
tions of the secretary of the interior of
September 15, 1017 (46 L. D., 447), and
June 22, 1920 (47 L. D 411). the timber

o'clock A. M. on June 22. 1922. at pub

fice at Portland, Oregon, to the highest
bidder at not less than the appraised
value as shown by this notice, sale to be

Public notice is hereby given that on
the 13th day of May, 1922, four dozen
cases of adulterated minced clams
labeled as follows: "Royal Club Brand
Minced Clams. Net Contents Seven
Ounces. Packed for Lang & Co., Port
land, Oregon," were arrested and taken
Into the possession of and now are in
the possession of the United States Mar
shal for the District of Oregon, pur
suant to a warrant and process duly
issued by the Clerk of the United
States District Court for the District
of Oregon, in a suit for condemnation
and forfeiture, entitled "United States
of America, Libelant, vs. Four Dozen
Cases of Adulterated and Misbranded
Minced Clams," brought under the pro
tsions of Section Ten of the Food and
Drugs Act approved January 30, 1906;
that all persons claiming any right,
title or interest in and to the said
cases aforesaid are hereby notified tf
appear on or before June 5, 1922, at
Portland, Oregon, to show cause, if any
there be, why the same should not be
decreed against and forfeited to the
United States as adulterated and mis
branded food.
