1919, in Docket Ex Parte No. 64. the
Northern Pacific Railway Company
hereby requests bids and hereby gives
notice that It will receive bids for its
requirements from April 1, 1922, to
April 1, 1924, for the line Helena, Mon
tana, to the Pacific coast, of mine run
fuel coal, as follows: Coal called for
by the railway company, not less than
1,800,000 tons, nor more than 8,000,000
tons of 2000 pounds.
2. Coal to be reasonably free from
-.slate, - soapstone, shale, fire clay, sul
phur and other non-combustlble im
purities, and shall be equal in quality
to the best coal of the same commer
cial grad produced in the district in
which such coal shall be mined.
3 Railway company's inspectors
shall have at all times free access to
the mines from which said coal 1b mined
and to the scales over which the coal
is to be weighed.
4. Coal to be delivered F. O. B. cars
on Northern Pacific Railway Company s
tracks in as nearly equal monthly pro
portions as practicable in accordance
with the railway company's require
ments, commencing April 1, 1922, and
ending April 1. 1924 (the tonnage re
quired during the months of Septem
ber to December, inclusive, will be much
heavier than the other months). If
mine is not located on Northern Pacific
railway tracks, then bid must be for
