Its officers and directors need no introduction, as they have done voluminous' business with the Northwestern public for. the past five, and ane-half yearst Organization R. C Durant, President and General Manager A. L. Warmincton, Treasurer and Comptroller (C M. Steves, Vice-President and Sales Manager Geo. R. Scott, Factory Manager and Director, Herbert L. Breed, Secretary and Attorney. Thi3 is tEe same organization that so profitably brganlze3 and dperatecl a former project with which you are all familiar, and they are now entering upon the building of their masterpiece. The names of these men are known to all anto mobilists, bankers and prominent citizens of the Northwest as experience automobile manufacturers. What the Durant Motor Company of California has done to date On August 7th, it was announced that an addition to the assembly plants af Lansing, Michigan; Toronto, Canada; Long Island Gty, New York, and Muncie, Indiana, there would be a plant erected on the Pacific Coast for the assembling and distributing of the full line of Durant automobiles. Since that time eighteen and one-half acres of very desirable property have been purchased; the designs for the plant have all been completed and approved; the ground has been broken; construction is now under way; the Southern Pacific Railroad is spending large sums of money to bring in a spur track, and in practically five months the plant will be completed and in operation. During the month of September, twenty-four Durant cars were received from the Long Island City plant. In October, fifty cars were shipped, and in Novem ber, three hundred Durants will leave for this territory, closely followed by eight hundred in December, so that on December 31st this will be a company operating on a profit-earning basis, awaiting only the completion of the factory to be in full operation. Car Sales We have received over seven hundred applications for territory, from the most prominent automobile dealers on the Pacific Coast, and with very little expense have organized the best representation in the States of Oregon, Washington, Nevada, California and Arizona, and the Hawaiian Islands, having shipping instructions for more than our next year's total production. Finance We have secured during the past two months, over 2,000 enthusiastic partners in this industry in California. We have built a car that is conceded by the most conservative automobile dealers throughout the United States to be the greatest value ever offered in an automobile to date W. C. Durant'a masterpiece. The car has been received with wonderful enthusiasm by the people of California, evidenced by the fact that in one week's exhibition at Earle C. Anthony's show rooms, over 50,000 people, by actual count, examined the car. Why was this enthusiasm shown? Because it is one of the cleanest stock issues ever offered to the people of the Pacific Coast. Because there is not one share of promotion or watered stock in the company. The President and all other officials and stockholders of the company have had to buy for cash every share owned by them. The franchise or contract for the Durant car in this most desirable territory was given to the company by R. C. Durant with the understanding that every share of stock issued by the company, either to the officers or to the public, should be issued on one basis only for cash. Compare this statement with the statement of other companies of one-Kalf the merit, and you will realize why the people of California are becoming partners in this industry at the rate of over forty a day. We have reserved for the citizens of Oregon, a limited amount of snares td be sold on the same terms that we are selling in California, because we feel that in Oregon we want to have partners to give us and our car the prestige Ideserved. We have opened offices in the Northwestern National Bank Bldg., in Portland, Oregon, and full information regarding the car, our organization, and our easy partial payment plan can be secured by mailing the coupon" below.
